City Charter
Why build and be part of an Infusion Leaders City Charter?
Build the next generation of founders, entrepreneurs and leaders — while connecting your city to the people, ideas and opportunities shaping the world.
Every city already has what its young people need.
Every city already holds what young people need to learn to lead: family businesses that have survived several economic cycles, institutions that shape its talent, and community groups that hold it together. What most cities lack is the structure that connects all of it to the next generation.
A City Charter is that structure. It gives a city its own circle of leaders, coaches, families and institutions — rooted in local enterprise, and connected to the stories and opportunities shaping the wider world.
Ambition should not require leaving. A generation that can see opportunity in its own city is worth more to that city than a generation trained to export itself.
A City Charter brings together
Five groups that rarely sit at the same table — each bringing something the others cannot.
Seven things a City Charter sets out to do.
- 01
Young people learn to lead from the enterprises around them — so the talent a city grows has every reason to stay and build.
- 02
Local ambition meets global perspective. Students hear from leaders and stories far beyond their own city, and learn to measure themselves against the world.
- 03
Entrepreneurship becomes a respected, aspirational path rather than a fallback, as young people see the depth and skill behind the businesses they grew up around.
- 04
Every family in the community, whatever its background, has a way in to guidance, mentors and opportunity.
- 05
The distance between a promising young person and the people who could shape them shrinks to a single introduction.
- 06
A Trusted Circle is built on people who know and vouch for one another. In a charter city, it becomes the network through which knowledge, talent, business and finance find each other.
- 07
A city with a charter is seen and heard beyond its borders — and the ideas, people and opportunities of the wider world find their way in.
Every charter starts with someone who cares about their city.
A charter can begin with a single group. It is strongest when several come together — each opening a door the others could not.
City Charters, answered.
What is an Infusion Leaders City Charter?
A City Charter brings together community groups, families, institutions, industry leaders and coaches in one city to help shape the next generation of local founders, entrepreneurs and leaders — while connecting that city to the people, ideas and opportunities shaping the world.
Who can start a City Charter?
Community and cultural associations, business families, colleges and business schools, trade and industry bodies, and business coaches. A charter is often strongest when several of them come together.
Does Infusion Leaders need to be in our city already?
No. A City Charter is one of the ways Infusion Leaders reaches a new city.
Is a City Charter tied to one community?
No. A charter can begin with one community group or institution, but its purpose is inclusive: to create a more inclusive ecosystem for the community and all its families.
How is a City Charter different from a school partnership?
A school partnership opens the launchpad to one school’s students. A City Charter brings together community groups, families, institutions, industry leaders and coaches across a whole city.
What is a Trusted Circle?
A Trusted Circle is a network of people who know and vouch for one another. It connects the people in it to knowledge, talent, business opportunities, finance and more — and it grows with every student, leader, coach and partner who joins.
Can a supporter fund a new City Charter?
Yes. Supporters can back the first cohort of a new City Charter through a city-launch contribution.
How do I start a City Charter?
Begin with a conversation. Tell us about your community and the city you have in mind through the City Charter enquiry, and we will explore together what a charter could look like there.
